Leiden Madtrics is the official blog of the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) at Leiden University.

Madtrics: metrics and matter that matters is a blog for the CWTS community to discuss trends and developments in research, and the intersection of science and society. The blog looks specifically at the processes of evaluating research, developing research policy, and the myriad ways academic research makes an impact in society. We focus on bringing the many different voices and stakeholders that represent the scholarly community together to discuss these issues. Our audience is primarily made up of students, researchers, librarians, members of civil society organizations, higher education professionals, practitioners, publishers, policymakers (local, national, and international) and research funders.
